October already, how did that happen!
September has flown past in a blur of trade shows and amazing new products that we can’t wait to show you. Our highlight was visiting The Flooring Show in Harrogate, a brilliant weekend completely dedicated to flooring, it’s full of distributors, fitters and designers. We got to meet with some of our existing suppliers as well as meet new ones, and see what is up and coming in the industry for the next 12 months.
We got to experience some truly inspirational new products, such as rugs, cushions and throws made entirely from recycled plastic water bottles which is such a great idea, and a real demonstration of the type of innovative ideas in the industry.
As for trends for the next 12 months – it’s going to be all about vibrancy! Colour and patterns are going to be making a huge splash and we can’t wait to see it!
However it wasn’t all work – we also enjoyed a visit to Mother Shiptons Cave & Well in Knaresborough which was absolutely beautiful.
New Suppliers
We’ve welcomed several new suppliers to the store this month, first up Gingko Design. This husband and wife run company focuses on unique, sustainable and elegant designs and are based in Warwickshire. We have several of their gorgeous products available, one of our particular favourites being this Flip Click Clock – a natural wood alarm clock with a unique sound activated LED clock system, laser engraved touch control top and flip alarm technology.
We also can’t get enough of their magical Evaro Light Bulb Lamp – seemingly powered by magic as the bulb floats separately to the base. Combining traditional styling with a modern edge, this lamp will fit seamlessly into any home.
We’re also excited to welcome Lily-Flame to the store. This Glastonbury based scented candle company started life in 1994 when the founder Jo and her business partner Luc travelled to markets across the country in a former Royal Mail van (called Martha!) selling candles at markets.
The original ‘candle in a tin’ – Lily-Flame pioneered the now iconic tin design you see from so many candle manufacturers today, so you can be confident that you are truly buying from the best.

Product of the month!
