Handwoven Shine Rugs
Natural fibres such as pure silk and TENCEL™ acclaimed for their lustre are used to create our handwoven shine collection. These carpets reflect the light beautifully and offer opulence combined with stunning texture.
Each Jacaranda hand-woven rug passes through many skilled hands during its creation. Hundreds of bobbins are wound by hand, then manually wrapped round a warping wheel and onto the wooden looms which are hand-operated with no need for electricity. Even the edges of these beautiful rugs are hand-sewn by skilled artisans with traditional needle and thread.
Handwoven Wool Rugs
Jacaranda believe that wool makes great floor coverings. Wool is natural, renewable and biodegradable too. Soft and warm but hard-wearing and inherently fire retardant, wool fibres are naturally coated in lanolin providing innate stain resistance. All are moth proofed during manufacture and come with a 5-year guarantee.

Hand Knotted or Tufted
Jacaranda’s ‘Refined’ designs are hand-knotted or hand-tufted to order in bespoke sizes and custom colour schemes. Rugs can be inspired by Jacaranda designs or may be original schemes proposed by you. For every rug Jacaranda will make a strike-off for approval.
Each bespoke project can be either hand-knotted or hand-tufted. Both methods allow great flexibility and intricacy of design, but what are the differences?
Hand-knotting
Beautiful, artisan heirlooms that will last a lifetime. Each individual knot is created by hand and Jacaranda send you a photograph of your rug taking shape on the loom.
All are finished with a hand-sewn edge.

Colour Match Rugs
Jacaranda can hand-tuft custom-coloured rugs, or hand-weave them. we have no minimum order quantity.
Jacaranda regularly match colours to fabric swatches, chromatone™ poms, Pantone references, wallpaper or paint samples. They always provide a colour swatch for customer consent before they begin hand-weaving each rug, which takes up to 16 weeks from colour approval.
